Bridal Designs for a bridal shower

Happy Friday everyone. Favorite cake Friday will start up again next week. I was going through my pictures on my computer trying to "clean up" some space and I came across some invites I designed for a friend a little while ago. Her colors were Apple red and Platinum. Her best friend was throwing her a surprise shower down in Atlanta and contacted me for the papery designs. I just forgot to show you the rest of the designs I came up with.

 Favor tags

These wish cards were made for bride and groom wishes from the guests. Cut the large tag and hole punch the 2 top corners and tie around a hurricane jar. The blank cards are for the guests to fill out and drop into the jar for the bride and groom to read later. Those are to be cut as well.
The design with the photo is the design she went with for the event timeline cards. The other designs were just some other inspiration.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Winter Wonderland Cake and Cupcakes

You may remember this invitation that I previewed a while ago. This was done for a 2 year old's birthday back in December and I am finally getting around to posting it on here. All the inspiration for colors came from a little dress at Old Navy. I was able to match all the colors on the invites and papery as well as the birthday sweets.

Here are the pictures that I have from my camera.

Favorite Cake Friday

T.G.I.F.

I am back to doing  favorite cake friday and finding all kinds of inspirational cakes from great cake artists. Valentine's Day will be coming up and I am starting to see a lot of Valentine's Day inspiration coming about everywhere. I hear that Target has a lot of cute stuff for decorating. Can't wait to get a free moment to check it all out. Time to start decorating! Actually not even noticing the colors, I changed my dining room table decor to pink, orange, fushia, and red. Well that got checked off the list before getting onto the list!

On to the cake for today. This cake is absolutely GORGEOUS! It is by Kate Sullivan of Cake Power. Kate was on TLC's Famous Cakes and I am glad that I was able to catch that episode. Her studio was just cute. Nice and white - very clean lined - with cake displays giving it the right pop of color. I would love to have this cake for valentine's day. Well maybe just the top tier. I am sure my hips, thighs, and belly would not thank me stuffing my face with all that cake. Kate's other cakes are just phenomenal! Be sure to check them out. So much talent, this woman. I could just drool over them all day.

Stay tuned next week for the Flower cupcake stand tutorial! Have a great and safe weekend!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that you guys have enjoyed your Holidays more than me! I have pretty much been sick the whole time, except on Christmas Day, luckily. Everything from pink eye in one eye, to both eyes, stomach virus, and a cold. YUCK!!

Now I am all better and ready to bring on all the new for this year. Plans to get back in shape and run a few races, create more fun designs for my etsy shop along with kids educational printables, more tiered cakes with wedding cakes, more baking and the list goes on. I am hoping to blog A LOT more than I did the last few months of 2010, as well as bringing back favorite cake Friday.

A new year is always a good time for new changes. I decided to change up the looks of my blog a bit along with my Etsy shop banner and facebook page picture. Tell me what you think. I have a few more changes to make to the blog so stay tuned and hope you like everything!

And the blog banner of course!

What plans do you have for the new year? Any resolutions? I would love to hear them!
