Pre-made Halloween Sweets

Last week I was getting ready for a bake sale at work to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. Of course I wanted to bake all this stuff. Decorated cookies, cupcakes, make rice krispy treats......But there was just no time in the world for all that I love doing. So for my baking needs, I opted for these pre-made brownie bites and chocolate chip cookies. They had orange and brown swirled chocolate chips on them. I really did have to look all around the store to see if they happen to be sold by the bag, but no luck.

The Chocolate Chip cookies

Stay tuned for the bake sale event as well as some more Halloween treats!

A forgotten party

Happy Monday to you! Hope you had a great weekend. As for me, I completely forgot about this party that I put together along with my friend Lisa - a cake decorator herself. Lisa and I met at a bible study group for women last year (through our church) and realized that we had a lot in common when we started planning this little holiday brunch as a closing of our study group. It was really fun to do as we were trying to stay within a tight budget. Lisa is very talented in the kitchen - pretty much all around. She does hair also! Lisa did all the food and helped with organizing and I did the party decor, organizing and the cookie jars.

But here are the pictures! Enjoy!

Here is the invite I designed

The yummy mini cinnamon rolls and Chicken florentine ring

These were my first days of designing party tags :-)

I made A LOT of these jars for gifts for the ladies. You can hardly see, but there are pink M&Ms in the jars also.

lemon tartlettes and bacon knots and bacon wrapped sausage

Mini quiche and holiday wraps with cream cheese, swiss cheese, roast beef and garlic.

 Lisa's Marshmallow pops

Cards that were place in the room. The definition of Pink and Brown. The colors that were chosen for the event

These cards were place around the room as a reminder of what we learned during the whole bible study.

Cupcake Take Along kit

I have been meaning to post this little cute kit that I made for my nieces last year. I got the idea from a blog called Papertry Ink and thought I just had to do this one day.Even though I don't do any stamping, scrap booking, etc, I do think it is amazing. This site shows so many how-to(s) and DIY homemade projects, its sure to get you in the mood to do something crafty.
So back to my nieces, they are both football fans. OF different teams. So, why not make their kit to coordinate with the team they love? One is a Clemson fan (so am I) and the other is a Carolina fan! These were so much fun to make and actually being able to find spatulas that matched as well = AWESOMEness.

It consists of a box of cake mix, a container of icing, containers of coordinating sprinkles, a whisk, spatula and measuring cups along with some cupcake liners. I designed all the printed stuff, the polka dot paper, the circle tag and the CUPCAKE label.

Find the full tutorial HERE on Papertrey Ink

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Humpday and a Sneak Peek

Thank goodness it is Wednesday. I have taken a few days from everything just to catch some air. My hours were changed this week for me to come in EARLIER :-(. I can't stay up too late anymore even though its just so hard. Its actually not that bad, I come in early so therefore I get off early. The getting off early is the part I like. Oh well, my body will adjust soon.

On a different note, I wanted to share a few designs I did for a friend's surprise bridal shower. These designs were created a while back, but the shower was this past weekend. Here's a sneak peek.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Dora Fiesta Party!

Finally, I have been able to go through pictures and edit. I have been wanting to share this party with you guys. The Dora Fiesta was a success! Constance keeps asking where is her party. So Cute! And can you believe that she would not let me nor her dad hold her to take a picture together?! *sighs*
Hope you enjoy all the pictures. Cant wait to have another party!

It all started with the invite I designed. I don't care for Character themed parties, but after seeing this one for a Yo Gabba Gabba party come into play, I knew I had to give it a try. This 2 year old LOVES Dora! More than she loves me, I believe!

The welcome sign that was on the gate.
My version of a dessert table. After I saw the pictures, I noticed quite a bit of things......Gosh the heat will make things not go according to plan. We had some marshmallow pops on the empty silver platter, but it was so hot that they started to melt.
Inside the orange bucket is Dora yogurt for the kids.

 my first 2 tier cake!

 yummy marshmallow pops!

Counting stars - part of favor bags

 Dora Photo prop board

Another part of the favor bags- also included maracas, paint, and paint brushes

On the menu we had a make your own taco station along with some hot dogs for those that didn't like tacos and some watermelon to keep us cool.
(didn't take any pics. Had to keep it covered as the flies were trying to eat it faster than we were)

ALL the details were designed by me:
the cake
the cupcakes
rice krispy balls
invitation and party designs
baby girl's outfit
dora board
water bottle labels
marshmallow pops
paint books
stars (counting)

The pictures with the TMK watermark were taken by my wonderful Sister - In - Law.
